Alberto Contador is a retired Spanish professional cyclist, born on December 6, 1982, in Pinto, Spain. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest climbers in the history of road cycling. Contador turned professional in 2003 and raced for teams such as ONCE-Eroski, Discovery Channel, Astana, and Tinkoff-Saxo. He is a two-time World Champion and a two-time Olympian. Throughout his career, he won the Tour de France twice (2007 and 2009), the Giro d'Italia twice (2008 and 2015), and the Vuelta a España three times (2008, 2012, and 2014). Contador is known for his aggressive riding style, particularly in mountain stages, and he has a reputation for his strong time-trial performances.
