William Gay

William Gay is a former professional American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL). Born on July 1, 1985, in LaGrange, Georgia, Gay played college football at the University of Louisville. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Gay is known for his playmaking ability and has been a key contributor to the Steelers' secondary during his time with the team. He played an important role in the Steelers' victory in Super Bowl XLIII and later returned to the franchise for a second stint after a year with the Arizona Cardinals. Throughout his career, Gay became known for his coverage skills and scoring capabilities from the defensive back position, including recording a few interception return touchdowns. After retiring from professional football, he has been involved in various philanthropic efforts and community work.
