Marcus Trescothick is a former English cricketer who was born on December 25, 1975, in Taunton, Somerset, England. He was a left-handed batsman known for his aggressive style and solid technique. Trescothick made his debut for the England Test team in 2000 and quickly established himself as one of the key players in the side. He played a total of 76 Test matches, scoring 5,825 runs at an average of 43.79, including 14 centuries. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), Trescothick played 123 matches, accumulating 4,335 runs with a striking average of 40.29 and also scored 12 centuries.
