9th Wonder, born Patrick Douthit on January 15, 1975, is an influential American record producer, DJ, and educator known for his work in hip hop music. Hailing from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he gained prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the hip hop group Little Brother. 9th Wonder is notable for his soulful and sample-based production style, drawing inspiration from artists like J Dilla and Pete Rock. His work encompasses collaborations with a range of artists, including Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu, and Destiny's Child.
